GPS can provide strong outdoor positioning but usually performs poorly deep inside industrial buildings. Bluetooth, gateway detections, Wi-Fi-derived location and other local infrastructure can provide indoor presence or zone-level visibility. Cellular connectivity can transport data without requiring the asset to connect to the customer's network.
